2nd Hong Kong Games kicks off

Grand opening: Chief Executive Donald Tsang officiates at the second Hong Kong Games' opening ceremony at Tseung Kwan O Sports Ground.

About 2,300 athletes from Hong Kong's 18 districts will take part in the second Hong Kong Games which runs until the end of this month.

 

Chief Executive Donald Tsang officiated at the opening ceremony at Tseung Kwan O Sports Ground tonight.

 

Secretary for Home Affairs Tsang Tak-sing said the second HK Games, as a prelude to the 5th East Asian Games, will further enhance public interest in sport and test the efficacy of the East Asian Games venues.

 

Members of the public are welcome to watch the competitions to be held at Leisure & Cultural Services Department sports venues from tomorrow. For details click here.
