Joseph Lee to head drug incident probe

Grantham Hospital Chief Executive Dr Joseph Lee will head an independent panel to investigate why the wrong tablets were pre-packaged and given to six patients with neurological diseases.

 

The panel will investigate the incident and make recommendations to prevent similar ones. It will hold its first meeting April 23 and will submit a report to Tung Wah Hospitals in six weeks.

 

Other panel members include Tung Wah Hospital Governing Committee member Viola Chan, Kowloon Central Cluster Clinical Director (Clinical Service) and Queen Elizabeth Hospital Department of Medicine's Chief of Service Dr Patrick Li, New Territories West Cluster Co-ordinator Pauline Chu, and Hong Kong West Cluster Director (Quality & Risk Management) Dr Seto Wing-hong.
