Probe launched into boy's death

*
Centre for Health Protection

A report concerning the death of a two-year-old boy was confirmed today by the Centre for Health Protection's paediatric surveillance programme.

Tests will be done to determine the cause of his death and the findings reported to the coroner.

The boy had a fever on January 17 and was sent to a private doctor. His condition deteriorated yesterday and he was sent to Pamela Youde Nethersole Eastern Hospital where he died the same day.

He had no travel history and had not contacted poultry. His family members did not have similar symptoms.
