Museums to close during Lunar New Year

Leisure & Cultural Services Department

All museums and the Visual Arts Centre will close January 26 and 27 - the first two days of the Lunar New Year - the Leisure & Cultural Services Department says.

 

Apart from Sheung Yiu Folk Museum which will close at 4pm, all other museums will close at 5pm January 25, Lunar New Year's Eve.

 

While the Museum of Tea Ware, Lei Cheng Uk Han Tomb Museum, Law Uk Folk Museum, Railway Museum, Sam Tung Uk Museum, Sheung Yiu Folk Museum and the Visual Arts Centre will remain closed January 28, other museums' opening hours will resume normally.

 

As January 29 falls on the regular closing day of the Museum of Art, Science Museum, Dr Sun Yat-sen Museum, Museum of Coastal Defence, Lei Cheng Uk Han Tomb Museum, Law Uk Folk Museum, Heritage Discovery Centre and the Film Archive, these facilities will be closed that day while all others will open as usual.
