Girl treated for Influenza-A
*
Centre for Health Protection

The Centre for Health Protection has received a report involving a six-year-old girl under the influenza surveillance arrangement set up with hospitals. Preliminary tests show she has Influenza-A.

She developed symptoms on July 16 and was admitted to United Christian Hospital on July 18. Her fever has lowered and she is in stable condition.

She has not travelled to other places recently. Her family members did not have any similar symptoms and the kindergarten she attended did not have any outbreak of influenza-like illness.

The public should stay alert by taking precautionary measures against flu. For health tips, click here.
