Four hospital chief executives will be rotated to new posts to enhance staff exposure and bring new impetus to hospital management.

North District Hospital Chief Executive Dr Lai King-kwong will move to Yan Chai Hospital, while Tseung Kwan O Hospital Chief Executive Dr David Lam will head Ruttonjee & Tang Shiu Kin Hospital and Tung Wah Eastern Hospital.

Tung Wah and Wong Chuk Hang Hospitals' Dr Tom Kam-tim will run Tseung Kwan O Hospital while Ruttonjee & Tang Shiu Kin Hospital Chief Executive Dr Ma Hok-cheung will head Caritas Medical Centre.

Dr Lai will assume the new position on August 1 with the other three appointments starting July 1.

Meanwhile, all consequential vacancies and others arising out of future retirements will be subject to an open recruitment exercise this month.
