The Centre for Health Protection has confirmed two Dengue fever cases involving a 21-year-old man and a 62-year-old woman who fell ill after visiting Southeast Asian countries, bringing the year's total to 10 cases.

The younger patient returned from the Philippines April 19 and developed fever, chills and a rash the following day. He was admitted to Queen Elizabeth Hospital and was discharged eight days later.

The 62 year-old woman visited Indonesia February 18 to April 18 and developed fever and chills April 22. She sought treatment from Tseung Kwan O Hospital and has recovered without hospitalisation.
