Voluntary notification scheme set for food trade
*
Centre for Food Safety

A pre-statutory voluntary notification scheme for importers and distributors of processed game, meat, poultry and aquatic products will be launched May 1, the Centre for Food Safety says.

The scheme will help the trade become familiar with the future mandatory registration requirement, the centre added.

Importers and distributors are encouraged to notify the centre of their business registration number, address, telephone number and person-in-charge. The list of importers and distributors will be uploaded to the centre's website. Application forms can be downloaded here from May 1.

For more information call 2867 5582 during office hours.
