Renewal of disabled registration cards urged
*

Holders of registration cards for the disabled should apply for a new one as cards issued from 1999 to June 2005 will be invalid after March 31, the Labour & Welfare Bureau says.

They should send completed renewal application forms together with the old cards and valid disability certifications to the bureau's central registry for rehabilitation.

After verifying the documents the registry will issue new cards with photographs to applicants in four to six weeks. Registration and application of the card is voluntary.
