Donald Tsang mourns Lydia Shum
*

Chief Executive Donald Tsang has paid tribute to comedienne Lydia "Fei-fei" Shum who died today.

 

Speaking to reporters, Mr Tsang said she brought a lot of happiness to Hong Kong people throughout her long film and television career. He commended her for her brave battle against illness and conveyed his condolences to her family.

 

Secretary for Commerce & Economic Development Frederick Ma said Ms Shum made a tremendous contribution to Hong Kong over the past 40 years. "With her death, Hong Kong has lost an outstanding comedian and programme host."

 

Secretary for Home Affairs Tsang Tak-sing said Ms Shum was an outstanding artiste all Hong Kong people will miss.
