16 treated for food poisoning

Centre for Food Safety

The Centre for Health Protection is investigating three food poisoning cases involving 16 people who ate seafood in a Lei Yue Mun restaurant on February 2 and 3.

The nine men and seven women aged 23 to 80 came down with diarrhoea, abdominal pain, nausea and vomiting after eating at the restaurant. They sought treatment from general practitioners, or at Pamela Youde Nethersole Eastern and United Christian Hospitals, with no hospitalisation required.

Further investigation is in progress. Tips on preventing food poisoning can be found here.
