The Centre for Health Protection is investigation an upper respiratory tract infection outbreak involving 21 residents and one staff member at a Tuen Mun elderly home.
Twenty-one men and a woman, aged 50 to 92, developed fever, cough, runny nose and a sore throat between December 19 and 31. Twenty-one sought medical treatment from private doctors and out-patient clinics. One required hospitalisation. All are stable.
The centre has conducted field visits to the elderly home and provided health advice to staff.
