Little egret confirmed H5N1-positive
*
AFCD

The little egret found earlier in Tuen Mun Park has been confirmed to be H5N1 positive, the Agriculture, Fisheries & Conservation Department says.

The bird was collected from Tuen Mun Park on November 18 by department staff following a referral from the Leisure & Cultural Services Department.

People are urged to observe good personal hygiene. They should avoid personal contact with wild birds and live poultry and clean their hands thoroughly after coming into contact with them. For more health tips, click here.
