Man ill with Dengue fever

*
Centre for Health Protection

The Centre for Health Protection has confirmed an imported Dengue fever case involving a 26-year-old man, bringing the year's total cases to 53, all imported.

He visited the Philippines and developed fever, headache and muscle pain on October 29. He arrived in Hong Kong November 3 and was admitted to a private hospital in stable condition. The centre's enquiries are continuing.

Hong Kong saw 31 Dengue fever cases last year, all imported. Click here for prevention tips. The latest information on Dengue fever in other places can be found here.
