Gym course priority enrolment to launch
*
Leisure & Cultural Services Department

A priority enrolment scheme to encourage more people join fitness (multi-gym) training courses will be tried for six months from January 1, the Leisure & Cultural Services Department says.

Under the new enrolment arrangement anyone who has not taken fitness (multi-gym) training courses run by the department in the 12 months before similar courses to be held from next year will be regarded as a new applicant and be given priority enrolment.

The arrangement is applicable to all the department's fitness (multi-gym) training courses on a first-come-first-served basis or by balloting.

The fitness (multi-gym) training course consists of 12 classes covering warm-up and practical fitness exercises, lectures and demonstrations on the proper ways of using fitness equipment. The course fee is $75 with a concessionary half price offered for the aged, the disabled and students.

People aged 15 or above are eligible to apply. Enrolment in the training courses can be made here or with the department's district leisure services offices.
