Herbal health: Deputy Director of Health Dr Gloria Tam announces Hong Kong's participation in a nation-wide campaign to promote traditional Chinese medicine November 24 to December 31.

Hong Kong will participate in a nation-wide campaign to promote traditional Chinese medicine from November 24 to December 31.

 

The Food & Health Bureau and Department of Health will co-ordinate the programme with support from the State Administration of Traditional Chinese Medicine.

 

Deputy Director of Health Dr Gloria Tam said today being selected as one of the hosting cities of the campaign gives local practitioners an opportunity to enhance their profession.

 

She said the Government, academics and practitioners have worked to regulate and train professionals in the field.

 

A launch ceremony will be held November 24 at Olympian City. Programmes include exhibitions, carnivals, symposiums and seminars, as well as free consultations by practitioners.
