Man ill with Dengue fever
*
Centre for Health Protection

The Centre for Health Protection has confirmed a Dengue fever case involving a 17-year-old man, bringing the year's total to 29, all imported.

He travelled to the Philippines with 15 people from July 23 to August 5 and came down with fever, a rash and bone pain on August 9. He was admitted to a private hospital in Kowloon five days later and was discharged on August 19.

Four of his travel companions were confirmed last week to have Dengue fever. Three were discharged after hospitalisation.
