Centre for Health Protection

The Centre for Health Protection is investigating two cases of suspected food poisoning involving 10 people who felt sick after dining at a Ma On Shan restaurant.

Two men and four women, aged 16 to 60, fell ill after eating at the restaurant on August 12. Three consulted private doctors and none required hospitalisation.

In the other case, two men and two women, aged 14 to 51, fell ill after eating at the restaurant on August 13. Two consulted private doctors and none required hospitalisation.

The centre reminds the public, especially food handlers, to observe good personal and environmental hygiene to prevent food-borne diseases.
