The 2006 Population By-census - Basic Tables for District Council Districts report has been published, providing statistics on Hong Kong's socio-economic characteristics.

The report is organised into three parts. The first, Summary Statistics, looks at the population and households in each district. The second breaks down the population by age and sex. Detailed population and household characteristics in each district are presented in the third part, Basic Tables.

Another four reports providing statistics on the socio-economic characteristics of the population by constituency area and by the tertiary planning unit have also been published.

Each report is in two parts, the first, Summary Statistics, provides figures on the population and households in each constituency area and tertiary planning unit. Detailed population and household characteristics in each constituency area and tertiary planning unit are presented in the second part, Basic Tables.
