Fa Yuen Street library to be upgraded
*
Leisure & Cultural Services Department

Upgrades for the Fa Yuen Street Public Library in Mong Kok will begin June 1 to provide better facilities, the Leisure & Cultural Services Department says.

The nine-month renovation will be implemented in two phases. The first, starting June 1, will see the students' study room and extension-activities room closed. Other library services will run as normal.

The second phase will start in mid-August and will see the students' study room used as a temporary library to offer limited services on lending, reference and information, newspapers and periodicals, reservation, self-service photocopying, Internet and self-charging services. Book-drop services will be available after the library is closed.

The library's opening hours will be unchanged during the renovation period. Enquiries can be made on 2928 4055.
