Hong Kong's new giant pandas will arrive April 26 with a handover ceremony at Hong Kong International Airport where the results of the panda-naming contest will be announced.

HK bound: Hong Kong's new giant pandas will arrive April 26 with a handover ceremony at Hong Kong International Airport.

The pandas will leave Wolong National Nature Reserve at 7.30am, accompanied by two of the reserve's experts and three from Ocean Park.

The park's Zoological Operations & Education Division Assistant Director Timothy Ng said the experts will closely monitor the pandas' health.

The handover ceremony will be held in the airport passenger terminal, and the pair will then be transported to Ocean Park.
