The Centre for Health Protection is investigating six food poisoning reports involving 18 people.
The nine men and nine women, aged seven to 75, developed diarrhoea, vomiting, abdominal pain, nausea and fever after eating at restaurants in Hung Hom and Causeway Bay over the last three days.
They all sought treatment at public hospitals or clinics. Their symptoms were generally mild and none required hospitalisation.
Bacterial contamination is the suspected cause.
