One more patient in the Kowloon Hospital Rehabilitation Building has tested positive for Norovirus, bringing the number of such cases to three.
Since June 15, 11 patients and one ward staff have had vomiting and diarrhoea symptoms.
Five more patients - four women and one man, aged 77 to 86 - came down with the symptoms today. They are being treated in isolation and their condition is stable.
Infection-control measures have been enhanced. There will be no admission to and discharge from the ward for the time being. Visits to the isolated cubicle in the ward are also suspended. All other patients in the ward concerned are under close surveillance.
The cases have been reported to the Hospital Authority and the Centre for Health Protection.
