The Centre for Health Protection is probing the food poisoning of 10 people who ate at a Tsim Sha Tsui restaurant on June 20.
Three men and seven women, aged 22 to 50, developed diarrhoea, abdominal pain, vomiting, nausea and fever after having dinner there. One sought medical treatment from Alice Ho Miu Ling Nethersole Hospital and six consulted general practitioners. Their symptoms were generally mild and none required hospitalisation.
Initial investigations show bacteria is the likely cause.
The public, especially food handlers, should observe good personal and environmental hygiene. Click here for more tips on preventing food-borne disease.
