Chicks

Flu-free: Agriculture, Fisheries & Conservation Department staff inspected consignments of Mainland day-old chicks destined for local farms at the Man Kam To checkpoint.

*

The production, inspection and quarantine arrangements are now ready in Mainland registered farms to provide day-old chicks for local farms, the Agriculture, Fisheries & Conservation Department says.

A total of 11,000 day-old chicks were delivered from one Mainland registered farm to five local farms today, the first consignment since the resumption of Mainland chick imports.

The consignment, covered by health certificates, had gone through the inspection and quarantine procedures agreed between Hong Kong and the Mainland authorities.
