Another enterovirus-71 case confirmed
*
CHP logo (Eng version)

The Centre for Health Protection has confirmed an enterovirus-71 case involving a 10-year-old girl, bringing this year's total to two.

The girl had travelled to the Mainland earlier this month and developed ulcers in her mouth and a rash on her hands and feet on April 21. She has recovered and her parents have no signs of infection.

Her seven-year-old brother was confirmed to have EV-71 on April 25. The primary school where they are studying did not have other cases and is being put under medical surveillance.

For more advice on disease prevention, click here or call the central health education hotline, 2833 0111.
