24 beaches to close for winter

Leisure & Cultural Services Department

Lifeguard services at five beaches in Southern District and 19 in the New Territories will be suspended for the winter from November 1.

 

The Leisure & Cultural Services Department said services at Repulse Bay, Middle Bay, Stanley Main, Big Wave Bay and Deep Water Bay Beaches will continue from 9am to 6pm daily until November 30. But for Deep Water Bay, lifeguard services will be maintained from 8am to 5pm December 1 to February 28.

 

For New Territories beaches, winter lifeguard services will continue from 8am to 5pm daily at Clear Water Bay Second, Silverstrand and Golden Beaches.
