Man ill with Dengue fever
*
HPC logo (Eng version)

The Centre for Health Protection has confirmed Dengue fever in a 66-year-old man, bringing the year's cases to 22, all imported.

He came down with fever, headache, and muscle and joint pain on October 15. He travelled to the Philippines earlier in the month. He is in hospital in stable condition. His family members have no symptoms.

People should stay alert to the threat of Dengue fever and take measures against mosquito breeding. Travellers should wear long-sleeved tops and trousers, use insect repellent. If feeling unwell after returning from abroad, they should consult a doctor.
