Illicit beef seized

Food & Environmental Hygiene Department

The Food & Environmental Hygiene Department has seized 10kg of frozen beef from a Yau Ma Tei fresh provision shop.

 

Officers found a worker at the Reclamation Street shop selling the defrosted produce as fresh beef. The department will consider cancelling its licence.

 

Anyone who finds suspicious meat on sale should call the department's hotline 2868 0000.
