Dengue fever case confirmed
*
HPC logo (Eng version)

The Centre for Health Protection has confirmed an imported case of Dengue fever, bringing this year's total to 21.

The patient is a 30-year-old woman who developed fever and a rash on September 29 and was admitted to Princess Margaret Hospital. She was discharged the following day and is in stable condition now. She had travelled to Cambodia, Thailand and Japan from September 14 to 29. Her companion did not have any symptoms.

The centre urges people to guard against the disease and prevent mosquito breeding.

The latest information on Dengue fever in other places can be found under Outbreak News on the Travellers' Health Service website.
