Two more children have tested positive for para-influenza virus, bringing the total infected in the Caritas Medical Centre's Developmental Disabilities Unit to 10.

The boy and girl, both 12, came down with fever today and were transferred to an isolation ward. Their conditions are stable.

Infection control measures have been stepped up and other child residents are under close surveillance. Visiting arrangements remain normal.

The new cases have been reported to the Hospital Authority and the Centre for Health Protection.
