The Social Welfare Department has welcomed the recommendations of the Coroner's Court in the hearing of a domestic violence case in Tin Shui Wai in April last year.
It will study the five recommendations in relation to the department and non-governmental organisations. Some of the suggestions are in line with existing improvement measures, such as training for social workers and a review of the Multi-disciplinary Case Conference.
It said the Government will not tolerate domestic violence. It will continue to take forward the recommendations made by the three-member Review Panel on Family Services in Tin Shui Wai.
