Enterovirus-71 case confirmed
*

The Centre for Health Protection has confirmed an Enterovirus-71 case involving a three-year-old girl, bringing the year's total to eight, all local.

She developed oral ulcers and blisters on her hands and feet on September 7. She has recovered and her parents have no signs of infection.

The girl's six-year-old sister who attended an Ngau Tau Kok nursery was confirmed to have Enterovirus-71 yesterday while another three-year-old girl in the same school was also infected with the same disease on September 9. All have recovered without hospitalisation.

For more information on the disease click here or call 2833 0111.
