So Uk Estate structurally safe
*
Housing Department

All 16 public rental housing blocks at So Uk Estate, Sham Shui Po, are structurally safe, the Housing Department says.

Chief Structural Engineer Pang Hon-wah said a structural survey will be completed by year's end.

"The department is closely monitoring the situation. We have consulted the estate's Estate Management Advisory Committee for advice on carrying out the survey and ensuring tenants are least affected by the works," he said.

The estate was completed in 1960, housing 5,313 units in 16 blocks.
