China Olympic medallists visit HK
*

China's Olympic gold medallists arrived in Hong Kong this morning for a three-day visit. Chief Executive Tung Chee Hwa welcomed the 68 athletes at Hong Kong International Airport.

The delegation will attend a reception at Government House and meet more than 1,000 people from different sectors of the community. They will also visit sightseeing spots and attend several functions.

The highlight of their trip will be the China Gold Medallists Extravaganza to be held Tuesday at 7pm at Hong Kong Stadium.

On Wednesday, they will showcase their skills in three sports demonstrations - badminton and table tennis at 3pm at Queen Elizabeth Stadium, volleyball at 4pm at Southorn Stadium and diving at 4pm at Kowloon Park Swimming Pool. Spectators will have the chance to compete against the medallists.

They will leave for Macau Thursday morning.
