Schools and organisations interested in joining free guided visits to the Green Education & Resource Centre from September 2004 to May 2005 are invited to submit applications by fax or mail starting tomorrow.
Managed by the Leisure & Cultural Services Department, the centre aims to promote greening and increase awareness on greening and environmental protection through organising free exhibitions and talks.
The centre also arranges free guided visits for kindergartens, primary and secondary schools, and organisations.
Participants will be briefed about the contents of the exhibitions and horticultural talks or workshops will be organised to enhance their knowledge on greening.
Application details
The guided visits are available from Tuesdays to Fridays, with two one-hour sessions each day in the morning and afternoon.
The number of participants for each session should not exceed 45 and they should be under the supervision of at least one teacher or representative from the organisation during the visit.

Completed application forms should be submitted by fax (2367 0556) starting 9am tomorrow (August 15), or mail to Green Education and Resource Centre, 1/F, Kowloon Park Management Office, 22 Austin Road, Tsim Sha Tsui, Kowloon.
Applications will be processed on a first-come, first-served basis. For enquiries, please call 2723 6767 during office hours.
Green Education & Resource Centre covers an area of 800 square metres. Its facilities include an exhibition gallery, lecture rooms, a reference library, a horticultural workshop, a conference room and an outdoor activity area.
The Centre opens from 9:30am to 5pm on Tuesdays to Sundays, and is closed on Mondays.
