Thursday is poultry Rest Day
*
Food & Environmental Hygiene Department

Thursday is the next Rest Day for poultry outlets, and the Food & Environmental Hygiene Department reminds that all market stalls and fresh provision shops selling live poultry must suspend business and conduct thorough cleaning and disinfection.

The department urged all operators to observe the Rest Day conditions and ensure all live birds remaining in their stalls or shops are slaughtered. Stall owners and licensees must not remove any live birds from their premises to avoid slaughtering them.

Department officers will inspect each outlet on the Rest Day. Failure to comply will lead to immediate cancellation of shop licences or termination of stall tenancies.
