Public swimming pools to reopen April 1
*
Leisure & Cultural Services Department

Public swimming pools will reopen on April 1, the Leisure & Cultural Services Department says, adding that all have been thoroughly cleaned and disinfected.

Water samples will be taken daily before opening and on an hourly basis to ensure water quality complies with Department of Health standards.

Pools will open in three sessions daily between 6.30am and 10pm with two breaks during which cleaning and disinfection will be conducted.

Meanwhile, some facilities at certain pools will be temporarily closed for annual maintenance. For details, click here.

Children under 12 are not allowed to use public pools unless accompanied by adults.

People who suffer from infectious diseases such as acute conjunctivitis, acute gastroenteritis or respiratory tract infections are advised not to enter pool areas. Anyone found with symptoms will be asked to leave and seek medical attention.
