Underwater world: Winning Portraits of Marine Life - Art Competition works are being displayed at Central Library.

Under Secretary for Environment Dr Kitty Poon today officiated at the award presentation ceremony of the Portraits of Marine Life - Art Competition.

Organised by the Agriculture, Fisheries & Conservation Department, the competition received more than 7,000 entries.

"After seeing these artworks, I am much impressed by the creativity of the participants and the sincerity embodied in the painting," she said.

The participants were divided into five categories � four for students and one for the general public.

Winning works are being exhibited at the Central Library and will move to other venues later.
