All typhoon signals lowered

The Observatory cancelled all typhoon signals at 8.30am today, as tropical depression Pabuk weakened into an area of low pressure.

 

Rainbands associated with the remnant of Pabuk is affecting Guangdong and adjacent waters.

 

Today's weather will be cloudy to overcast with squally heavy rain and thunderstorms, with the maximum temperature of about 28 degrees Celsius. There will also be fresh southwesterly winds, occasionally strong over offshore waters and on high ground.

 

The weather will remain rainy in the next few days.
