Hybrid-vehicle technology on display
*
Leisure & Cultural Services Department

The Science Museum is holding an exhibition on hybrid-drive vehicle technology until September 12.

The technology and its concept in environmental protection is on display along with a hybrid vehicle designed and manufactured by Crown Motors.

Hybrid vehicles combine a petrol engine with an electric motor-generator. When the driver slows down the system will transform the kinetic energy from the wheels into electricity to be stored in the vehicle battery.

The hybrid system also ensures total energy consumption is kept minimal by constantly monitoring multiple on-road variables.
