New year parade route unveiled
*
HK Tourism Board

The Tourism Board has announced the details of the 12th Chinese New Year Night Parade on February 18 in Tsim Sha Tsui. This year's event will start at the Cultural Centre, then proceed along Canton Road and Kowloon Park Drive before ending at Salisbury Road. More performing zones along the route will be set.

With the exception of Canton Road, an additional performing zone will be set up on Kowloon Park Drive at its junction with Peking Road.

More than 100 people will be deployed to help stimulate the festive atmosphere and distribute inflatable trinkets to spectators. Also, several large screens will be installed so spectators can enjoy the performances in different locations.

Altogether 40 groups, including 13 international and local floats, and 15 overseas and 12 local performing troupes will participate in the event.
