Tribunal clears trio in Tingyi insider dealing case
*

The Insider Dealing Tribunal has ruled unanimously that Debbie Ho, Jim Lam and Anna Ho did not engage in insider dealing related to the securities of Tingyi (Cayman Islands) Holding Corp in 2002.

The tribunal has submitted a report on its inquiry in relation to the listed securities of Tingyi to the Financial Secretary. The inquiry involved three implicated parties and 22 witnesses in a 41-day hearing.

Tingyi's investment relations manager, Debbie Ho, was alleged to have offered Tingyi's financial information to two other implicated parties, leading to the purchase of the company's shares in July of 2000.
