Trade & Industry Department

Small and medium enterprise proprietors are invited to join the 2007-08 SME Mentorship Programme, which provides free one-on-one counselling. Application deadline is February 8.

Launched in 2000, the programme helps SME owners develop entrepreneur and leadership skills by pairing them up with accomplished entrepreneurs, senior executives, and professionals for free counselling. The mentorship period lasts nine months.

Over the years 288 volunteer mentors have participated in the programmes providing free counselling and advice to more than 540 mentees.

Application forms and programme details are obtainable from the Support & Consultation Centre for SMEs and District Offices.
