Relaxed transport support scheme launches
*
Labour Department

Relaxations to the Transport Support Scheme will take effect from July 2, raising the monthly income ceiling to $6,500, allowing eligible people working and living in the same district to apply for the allowance, and extending the subsidy period to 12 months.

The number of non-government organisations engaged to implement the scheme will increase to 12 and the service centres providing the service will rise to 33. Two of the new services centres will be located on Lamma Island and Peng Chau.

Eligible job-seekers and low-income employees living in the districts of Yuen Long, Tuen Mun, North and Islands can apply to join the scheme and claim the transport allowances through the designated service centres from tomorrow.

Application forms can be downloaded here. For enquiries, call 2123 9966.
