Sir Edward Youde scholarships open

The Sir Edward Youde Memorial Fund Council has launched its 2006-07 fellowships and scholarships for overseas studies, including the award for disabled students. The closing date is September 30.

 

Successful candidates are expected to have a strong sense of commitment to Hong Kong and will be required to work in Hong Kong for at least three years upon graduation.

 

The fellowships are for studies leading to postgraduate degrees either by research or coursework and the scholarships are for studies leading to undergraduate degrees.

 

The fellowship is worth $251,000 a year for up to three years for doctoral degrees or two years for master's degrees, while the scholarship is worth $232,000 a year for up to three years.
