Gov't House to open March 9
*
Gov't House

Living history: Government House has undergone many changes since its opening in 1855. It is now a declared monument and a venue for official functions.

Government House will open to the public on March 9, from 10am to 5pm. People can stroll through its garden and admire the blossoming flowers.

Visitors are reminded to make full use of public transport. They should enter the garden by the east gate at Upper Albert Road and leave by the main gate.

Depending on the length of the queue, Police may announce a cut-off time for lining up outside Government House to ensure those in the queue can be admitted in time.

Government House opens to the public twice a year. The previous open day on November 11 last year attracted about 5,000 visitors.
