3 new members join innovation committee
*

Federation of Hong Kong Industries Deputy Chairman Roy Chung, Trade Development Council Executive Director Fred Lam and Chinese Manufacturers' Association Paul Yin have been named Steering Committee on Innovation & Technology members for two years, the Innovation & Technology Commission says.

All existing steering committee members have also been re-appointed for two years, except for Edward Cheng who is not able to serve on the committee for another term due to other commitments.

Industry plays an important role in the development of innovation and technology in Hong Kong. The appointments of new members from industry associations and the Trade Development Council will facilitate the solicitation of views from industry and enhance coordination between the Government, industry, academia and technology support organisations in promoting Hong Kong's technology development and industry upgrading.

The steering committee, set up in January 2004, is chaired by the Secretary for Commerce & Economic Development. To view the full membership list, click here.
