Joseph Wong's post-Gov't work approved
*

The Advisory Committee on Post-office Employment for Former Chief Executives & Politically-Appointed Officials has no objection to Joseph Wong's taking up of a teaching assignment at the Chinese University's Department of Government & Public Administration.

The committee said today Mr Wong's previous official responsibilities as the Secretary for the Civil Service and Commerce, Industry & Technology were not related to teaching a public administration course as a part-time adjunct professor.

It noted the proposed work should not give the university an unfair advantage over its competitors or lead to potential conflicts of interest. The work is part-time and educational so Mr Wong's knowledge and experience in public administration will be valuable to the course content, it added.
