Christopher Cheng has been reappointed and Chan Kam-lam appointed Non-Executive Directors of the Securities & Futures Commission for two years from November 15.

Mr Cheng has brought insightful and independent advice to the commission's policy formulation process in recent years, while Mr Chan has rich experience in financial services and legislative affairs, the Government said.

It also thanked outgoing Non-Executive Director Jasper Tsang for his invaluable contribution in the past six years in enhancing the commission's corporate governance, accountability and transparency.

Other serving Non-Executive Directors are Dr York Liao, Professor Liu Pak-wai, Kenneth Kwok, Angelina Lee and Shengman Zhang.
